And in case anyone wants to learn the fast chromatic bits in the bridge around 4:28....

It's rare that I write anything down but I had to get my fingers around it then do it on the bass as well as an octave up on the lead guitar.

Damn, that is one complicated piece of music! It sounded like at one point, you had 4 different rhythms going between two guitars, bass and drums.

I was telling my son (age 18) about you the other day, and like I planned it, he walked in while I was playing this. He asked "Did he record all that himself?" :-) The kid was impressed, and he's a pretty good musician himself, but in the orchestra/symphonic band end of things...wants to be a music major, and eventually a band director.

So yeah, impressive as always! 3 down, 97 to go for 2021 lol!

I've been trying to focus on more interesting rhythm interplay. Not sure if I'm doing it right or wrong, but its challenging from a recording perspective and definitely from a listening perspective. I tend to critique the crap out of myself when I play this back on my airpods during a workout. So I'm glad to hear it "makes sense" to another listener.

And I immensely appreciate it when folks listen to my tunes. I don't really post them anywhere outside of soundcloud and here so its always a treat to hear they are appreciated.

Well, I for one really appreciate you posting the stuff you do. Its sometimes kinda humbling, as I'm pretty certain I'll never be able to play (let alone write!) what you consider your worst song. But it is inspiring, and makes me want to get the guitar out and play. Your ability and attention to detail on your production is top notch, and I frequently can't tell the difference between your songs and commercial music I've bought. Keep the songs coming whenever you feel like it...I'll listen to them all :-)
