I was sitting here playing my AL3200 and my amp started to crackle and hum and generally having a spasm. Unplugged it as fast as I could and there was that distinctive odor of a resistor burning. It's a Super Champ XD w/a Ragin Cajun in it great little amp I haven't looked in it yet but since it's my only amp I know what I'll be doing the rest of the day.
I will fix it but I have been thinking about a new amp and this may be a good excuse.

Hopefully your quick thinking saved it from any substantial damage. But I agree. Time to get another amp. Maybe just a Fender Champ

Oh no... you let the magic smoke out!
I have a Super Champ X2 and if that happened to me, and I couldn't fix it, I'd just get another X2 (I love this frickin' amp).
