Just found out he passed. Great guitar player. I remember the first time I heard Mississippi Queen and Nantucket sleigh-ride. They were killer band.

Sad news. I love all of those early Mountain albums. This means that the entire original band is now gone

Sad day; RIP. Not surprised though considering his poor health.

My favorite, and quite a heartbreaking story as to how he came about writing it.

I have to agree. Playing fast and being able to get 500 notes in 2 seconds is great but there's a loss of emotion. After playing for 50 years I can finally play faster then ever. But I find myself wanting more depth. BB King would play 2 notes that said so much more then a speed demon with 100.
