A friend sent me a riff we are going to make into a song. I was trying to come up with a bass line.

I hauled out my Dano today. $120 in 1998 and I still love this thing. So light and easy to play and has a good ringing sound.

Still obsessed with this one, haven't touched any others in months! Peavey JF1, stock except for tuners and a fret polish.
(It's actually black, but on my monitor it seems to have a rich deep brown color, which would be incredibly cool … )

Enjoyin' the return of the Carvin CL450 I sold to a good buddy many years ago, just bought it back this weekend since he's steppin' away from playing. Freakin' amazing guitar, some stunning woods on this one and it sounds incredible with the Fishman Prefix Pro preamp and my Fishman Loudbox amp. Haven't had a nylon string classical in the stable in many years so it's nice to be doing something different.

Nice to see this thread making a comeback from the dead! I'm spending the evening with one of my favorite strats and it's beautifully matching @TVvoodoo Well-Hung Matrika strap.

Had a lot of fun with this li'l item today...

2009 PRS SE Semi-Hollow Custom

mods --

pickups: 2 Fender DeArmond USA Gold Tone (humbucking)

controls: from bridge to rear body edge are Volume, Tone 1 (treble cut), Tone 2 (bass cut), Pickup Pan (with center détente). Extra hole drilled between Volume knob and original single Tone (treble cut) knob, which was moved to that new / center position as Tone 1 (treble cut), so as to place Tone 2 (bass cut) at the end of that line of three knobs. Pickup Pan knob replaced the stock three-way pickup selector toggle switch.

pots: 4 Alpha 500K Audio Taper

caps: Volume 270pf, Tone 1(treble cut) .022uf, Tone 2 (bass cut) 1000pf

An already impressive-from-the-factory guitar that's now incredibly versatile, able to deliver completely hum-free tones from super-skinny to full-fat, anywhere on the spectrum of clean to mean (within the parameters of the replacement pickups' "vintage PAF"-like design, of course), and with whatever precise amount of bridge and/or neck pickup you might want dialed in at any given moment; low but buzz-free action, surprisingly acceptable intonation despite the wraparound bridge, and a real lightweight at exactly / only 6 pounds on my digital scale.

I have one of these or the newer version on my radar. Need to unload a couple first though.

Playing my 3200 I dropped a set of SD Whole-lotta-Humbuckers in it and I really like the tone.
