That happened at the building where I worked for about 10 years.
The ATT building is a fortress, nothing else in the area is.
The ATT building was built during the height of the cold war, thus the walls & floors are made of 2 foot thick steel reinforced concrete.
All the other buildings in the area are un-reinforced brick construction.
This would make the ATT building reflect the blast towards the other buildings.
The hole in the wall of the ATT building is the lobby where the main entrance is/was.

Why would something happen there..?
Also, partially residential? Some politico teewted 'loss of homes".

The other farm cats didn’t super love him but the chickens thought he was alright so he became a chicken.
The old warehouses across the street from the ATT building are/were mostly condos above the ground floor.
Some EXPENSIVE real estate for residential.
Your guess is as good as mine as to why there?

Asshat(s) that do this type of thing aren’t human. Glad there was not a large loss of life.
Aren’t there several restaurants/clubs closer to Broadway on 2nd Ave?

Sad stuff, but glad no lives were lost.
Yes, the "Old Spaghetti Factory" is the closest south of there & Hooters is the closest to the north.
My retirement party was held in that Hooters!

@mickey Is the AT&T still operating as a hub?
(hasn't most of this sort of equipment dramatically shrunk in size, new tech, anyway, like, no need for large buildings?)

Yes, it has shrunk in size, BUT ( <-a big but) this has resulted in more (larger) areas going thru smaller spaces.PoodlesAgain wrote: ↑Fri Dec 25, 2020 1:32 pm @mickey Is the AT&T still operating as a hub?

As in, thru this building instead of thru a dozen (or more) buildings scattered around the area.
The biggest problem I see on TV is the holes in the sidewalk which "could" have put the generators
out of commission. There is roughly 1 megawatt of generating capacity in the basement of that building.
If the explosion put that out of commission, there could be problems.
The explosion killed AC power in the area. Everything in the building runs off batteries,
if the generators don't kick on, the batteries could discharge.

Very interesting background. The part we are scratching our heads over is the gunfire. My theory is that this is a disgruntled person who didn't want to hurt anyone. Maybe the gunfire was to get everyone to stay inside, to augment the loud verbal warnings. Odd...
Heard from family in Huntsville Alabama their ATT cellular phone service has been out since the blast.PoodlesAgain wrote: ↑Fri Dec 25, 2020 1:32 pm @mickey Is the AT&T still operating as a hub?

Somebody got pissed when they found out that the AT&T offering of 5G was the medium for the Command and Mind Control linked to Microchipping of Americans thru Covid-19 Vaccine injections. Just sayin'

If this had happened 25-30 years ago I would guess a disgruntled ATT employee.LightWingStudios wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 6:36 am Somebody got pissed when they found out that the AT&T offering of 5G was the medium for the Command and Mind Control linked to Microchipping of Americans thru Covid-19 Vaccine injections. The holes in the sidewalk are access points to the "cable vault" (where all the cables enter the building.)

It is coming out that he was a believer in "the Lizard People from outer space are trying to take over the earth."
Doubtful that we could ever prepare for wackos like that?

Sometimes I think it might be nice if the Lizard people did come and take over the earth. They dont shed nearly as much as cats or dogs and much less maintenance.

What is the source? I'd take anything said by the media as an instant lie.
Likewise, anything said by the .gov. Both have proven themselves incapable of telling the truth.
I saw where he claimed to go hunting lizard people possibly to cover going out to test bombs. This was from a bomb expert who nailed what Mcvie used a week before anyone else got it. This guy thought an air fuel bomb which is tricky to time. Tie that with him telling a neighbor a few days before Christmas things were looking up for him . He was going to be famous and everyone would know his name.
