I have to chuckle every time I encounter the term "essential tremors."
(For anyone who doesn't know that is what Catherine Hepburn suffered from in her later years.)
The reason I chuckle is because my grandfather suffered from "essential tremors."
But my mother was never able to call them that, instead she always called it "nonessential tremors."
Incidentaly, the superpicker Jerry Reed suffered from that in his later years, resulting in him referring to himself as
"a man who used to be a picker."

I like the humor Mickey. Don't really like the tremors though. I do try to cope but it does get quite aggravating. Nevertheless, I'll endeavor to persevere.mickey wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 7:45 pm I have to chuckle every time I encounter the term "essential tremors."

I had hoped you would. I understand completely, I've had my fingers crossed most of my life that it didn't get passed down to me.ronnx wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 7:50 pmI like the humor Mickey. It is one of those things most people are completely unaware of unless a close family member has it. Good luck my friend!

Making a little progress. Filled and drilled and re-seated the neck because whoever assembled this strat evidently put the pick guard on first and drilled the neck mounting holes off, leaving just less than a quarter inch gap between butt of the neck and the bottom of the neck pocket. Of course I had to fill and re drill the pick guard holes to remount. Fortunately the new position of the guard covered the old fills.
Looks great!

Okay, the strat came with the original tuners for that guitar but I'm fond of the other style (beaners-I call them) . The headstock had the larger holes, so I ordered a set of transition bushings from GFS and a set of beaners from ebay.
