Here is my all-star band of the luckiest buggers around, who already seem to understand how good they have it, and also seem to understand that they are unlikely to find anything quite as awesome as where they're at already.
This isn't my list of guys like this who I think would sound good in a group together, just fantasy band of musicians who I believe have it as good as they're likely to find and who KNOW how incredibly lucky they are:
Arnel Pineda (Journey) on vocals.
Charlie Watts (Rolling Stones) on drums, with that same self-satisfied grin we've been seeing for 55 years or so.
Kirk Hammett (Metallica) on guitar.
Richard Fortus (Guns 'n' Roses) on guitar.
Ian Hill (Judas Priest) on bass guitar.
David Bryan (Bon Jovi) on keys.

Cool concept, I’ll play along
Vocals and Keys: Daryl Hall. Based on his “Daryls House” series, he can (and has) play with virtually anyone and in just about any style.
Guitar: Warren Haynes. I can never decide if he’s a better player, singer or songwriter - I think it’s all 3 actually.
Bass ( and everything else ) : John Paul Jones
Drums: Danny Carey.
All are absolute masters of their craft and also seem to be genuine, humble abs basically guys that would be fun to go hang out with too.

I LOVE Daryl’s House! Some amazing performances! I really liked Ceelo Green’s episode, and Joe Walsh... come on!

I actually found the series via one of my other favorite guitar players ( Monte Montgomery ) who did a session with Daryl. Since then it's one of my favorite late night you-tube adventures. The music is fantastic of course, but it just seems like such a cool environment as well and like everyone involved is relaxed and just having a great time. The Cheap Trick session was another one of my favorites.

I love Daryl's House as well. I don't get to watch it anymore since I cut the cable (well, satellite tv).
