And it's two colors for the price of one -- the sides, back, and neck are white -- so double your fun!

Damn...I had that same guitar and should have never sold it. Mine was bone stock, love the look with those black bobbins. I sold mine went to Madjack over on the old AGF along with an AD-201 in TVY and always tried to buy them back but he would have none of it ;-)

It really is, thanks! A very high quality build. I wasn't sure what to expect because info on these is scarce to say the least but this model is a really fine example of how Japan manufacturing easily equaled (or exceeded) stuff like Gibson USA. I've owned several Gibson LPs over the years and this is flat out a better guitar. Pretty remarkable. Came with a Dimarzio bridge pup too at that price which is wild.

I got this around 8 years ago, traded with someone (I think I gave a Brownsville beatle bass and a speaker, maybe some pickups, I can't remember). I also can't remember if I traded with someone from AGF or perhaps TalkBass. If you recognize it, I'd be happy to hear from ya, renew the acquaintance, so to speak ;)

I personally do not relic my instruments (intentionally), but I liked how this one was done. It has a P-Rails in the neck with only a single push/pull to allow access to the "p90" coil, but I already bought a bridge P-Rail and a set of triple-shot rings to be installed. The current bridge pickup is a Bill Lawrence l500xl (or Bill & Becky or whatever). It's a nice pickup, but much higher output and I'm not a shredder, so I think I'd rather have all the switching and all the single coil sounds.

You have reminded me why I don't have a Les Paul style guitar.

Here's a picture of one of my Gretsches:
And I thought it was the stupid "not-independent volume" wiring  (when the time comes to install the new switching pickup mounting rings, I'll need to also figure out and rewire for independent volumes).

Gretsch have several layouts, but I like the one where there's a MV knob on the lower horn, a couple of switches at the upper bout and knobs where they belong. I like the switch plate on LP, but I removed it on my WhiNO and replaced the tip with Gretsch tip (but you've seen that). It seems to change the look more than some other things. But I do like LP look on LP.
