I have one, too. Tobacco Sunburst-ish. I really like it. Good unplugged acoustic sound too.

I had one, traded it for some reason and can't remember for what, but soon after ended up trading something else for a Rogue VB100 (I think they're probably from the same factory). Any nice drop-in pickups for these? Something that's better than stock? I put some sort of rail toasters (guitar pickups) in the WVEB that I traded and they were great, but it was just a coincidence, I think they were new old stock GFS something or other.

Wooo nice flametop. The one thing that drives me crazy about these is the little square knob plate. Why the most stylish bass has the ridiculous, cut with tin snips, looking control plate? And with all the modders I've never seen it fixed. It could be a nice oval or a rounded half moon? Hell even just file the corners off. And every copy does it? Or why not a copy with the plate on the backside to show off the nice top. Especially that one?

I'm with you, it makes no sense. A total aesthetic blunder. Why not a back access panel (like on solids) and just a nice clean look of knobs/switches on the top (like on Les Pauls and other Gibsons). Or even a "knobs on pickguard" approach (but that would obscure even more of the small top).nomadh wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 11:45 am Wooo nice flametop. because that is how Hofner did it when Paul played one...nomadh wrote:Wooo nice flametop. The one thing that drives me crazy about these is the little square knob plate.
