Long story short always wanted a single pickup gibson RD style guitar. Had Chris at Retro guitar make the body for me. He did a great job- was super responsive and completely took it in stride when last minute i decided i wanted a trans black finish as opposed the original idea of snakeskin (what was i thinking?). His price wasn't far off from warmoth but the body is gorgeous and i got the exact style that i wanted! Haven't weighed the body but it's a nice piece of mahogany.
Got the neck from Warmoth and seems like a perfect match. Ordered a black bridge and tuners. Will be putting a stain on the neck so the headstock doesn't look so out of place.
Thinking of putting a Railhammer pickup in it (i really dig the looks and the reviews seem solid).
