Bye bye Floyd Rose Special. Hello custom made original Floyd Rose made of the original steel formula with an original style GIANT STEEL BLOCK. Ain't no brass or zinc here, fellas.

And yes, that is a sustainer and yes, that is an arcade button momentary kill switch. I believe this predates @toomanycats on AGF ;)

Notice how the original style has no tension fingers, a much larger (steel) block, and the whammy bar is bolted in.

Aaaand so much for that idea. The long screws and the more square shape of the plate, will not fit the routing. Boo-urns.

YET another reason why it's absolutely dumb to have a recessed Floyd. Bad design.

Yes, this guitar must predate my joining the old AGF. Has a cool George Lynch Tiger meets Wolfgang vibe going on.

That is one stout looking Floyd, too bad it doesn't fit.

Why don't ya just slap a Kahler on there and call it a day? (ducks and runs for cover. LOL ;) :lol: )

I actually have an American made Floyd Rose, produced by Kahler!

And unfortunately that one fits precisely zero guitars, because it has a wider pole spacing!!!!

Have to get a body blank and drill it. :|

I believe my thinking was

White for White Lion
Tiger for Dokken
Wolf body for VH
And my straps are 3" wide snakeskin, a la Randy Rhoads

The white is also transparent so you can see the wood grain. If I recall, it's a maple cap over an alder back.

The bridge pickup is A2....like 22k. Yes, twenty two. It's like a passive EMG. It sounds like an ELEPHANT but it has no sustain w/o the sustainer.
