So SCHOOL ME on the Kramer Pacer.
Should I abandon the current crop, or go vintage (are they available vintage), and where are they made?

I don't think they are available vintage unless they are custom. The one I looked at on rverb was listed as being MIK. Hardware looks to be Korean Floyd Rose, so it is good.
If you like the neck, it looks like a winner.

I like the medium jumbo frets (don't do jumbo) but have never played one.

No. I played a 1984, and I assume the neck to be a similar carve, and I didn't dig it. It's all personal taste. Like how I dig big frets.Razzle wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 10:59 amDo you have one or had one?Rollin Hand wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 8:04 am I don't think they are available vintage unless they are custom. I do know this -- some modern Kramers use cheaper hardware, in accordance with their price point. This one seems to use the OFR stuff, which is a good sign.
Is that new or used?

Not sure, that's just a good pic of one I found, stock if you will. But I've been looking at used ones. I think the MIK ones are all used, not sure if the new ones are MIK, Indonesia I've heard.Rollin Hand wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 2:55 pm

The Kramer site I says it has a maple body, so there is that. Not sure how that plays out in terms of weight. JB and Jazz too.
Personally, I get all warm and fuzzy over this one...

Cool looking guitar. I've gotta admit though, I'm confused about the rational for outfitting a guitar with only a bridge and middle humbucker.Rollin Hand wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 5:58 pm The Kramer site I says it has a maple body, so there is that.
