Alright! So if you followed the high drama of this instrument’s arrival, you know this has been a long time comin’.
This here is a Gretsch 6122-1959. I’m in love. Falls right under my fingers just the way it should. Without further ado!
Looks like the app I use on my phone for the forum nuked some of the quality.
I had played the guitar for about 45 minutes before recording a small clip. There are some boo boo’s but I wanted to share anyway -
Cheers!

Looks great and well done. Post the song in the coffee house thread. For posterity.
Mr. Mickey got a lefty 000-28 in an uncommon finish. It was the second 000 made in Cherry burst as Jimmy at Southpaw has number 1! I can’t for the life of me find much of any information on that finish. It was a 2011 made instrument. Great sound and player, I have an older natural 000 that gets my attention.otisblove wrote:I’ve been right here waiting with you. Glad to see you got it and it sure is a beauty. So what did the OTHER guy get in the trade?

Can't begin to express the relief I feel seeing it made the journey to its new home in the same condition it was in when it left its old home!
Brent & I have both been worried sick over this missing guitar! When I shipped it the ETA was supposed to be the 11th, but it took the scenic route arriving on the 22nd.
Enjoy it in good health my friend!

Ha! It brings me to a place of appreciation my brother!! I was going to do what I had to to replace it in a loose term. But I was afraid I’d be bitter with the result. I INSTANTLY took too this guitar. 100%JeffBeck wrote:Well, I'm certainly glad it made it to you and in good shape. Good things come to those who are patient Glad it worked out for both of you and that both guitars are now getting played. Very nice tune and playing too - refreshing to hear that style of music.
