I saw this video and am intrigued by Roy's guitar. I think that it is a 1963 vintage Fender Jaguar. Can someone confirm that? Has anyone ever played one of these?

Dunno, but it's around there. The video says it's 1964. The guitar is definitely a Jaguar, and the Jaguar was introduced in 1962.

It looks like it's painted in Shoreline Gold (possibly Inca Silver), with a painted headstock. Matching headstocks were rare back then, so it was probably a custom order (SLG and IS were custom colors to begin with). Can't say if it's a '63, but it's definitely a Jaguar. :)

It sure seems to be a metallic. Around the 2 min mark the body and head both spaz out the camera from the reflection. I always heard white guitars could sort of do that. That's why tvy.

You just gotta love Roy Clark. The short scale and drop tuning made that sound like a baritone.

I am no expert, but I'd go with the 1962 or 1963. I saw in a coffee table book I have no Fender, that they built a 'Firemist Gold' Jag for the 1962 NAMM. Roy's looks exactly like it and as @BatUtilityBelt said, it coincides with the timelines. That could very well be the NAMM guitar he has in that video, since Firemist Gold wasn't a popular color for Fender.
