I’ve been eyeing these for a while, but the pandemic has really impacted inventory. Sweetwater hasn’t had it in stock for a while.
Anyway, I am up in Canada for a bit and visited their big box instrument store to check out aLP Custom they have in inventory. Didn’t care for the build quality on the Custom.
My wife and I were slow rolling out when I spotted the Modern on the wall. Love this thing! It’s beautiful, feels great to play, sounds great, and is a lightweight!

Very cool, love the color and the new features too. HNGD! I was actually checking out the Epi verstion of those the other day and like the contours for sure - but yes, stock is low across the board.

HNGD! I like those models. The "shave" in the neck joint actually makes upper fret acces easier?Mr. Leyvatone wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 11:39 am I’ve been eyeing these for a while, but the pandemic has really impacted inventory. Sweetwater hasn’t had it in stock for a while.

Yes! I’ve heard the true Axess heels are better. But this is definitely better than a typical LP or Fender heel.

Aesthetically speaking, you simply cannot go wrong with blue and brown. It's like the chocolate and peanut butter of color combinations.

Mr. Leyvatone Are you going to do something with those knobs, or you´re good with them?...

Mr. Leyvatone Those Probuckers sound good? How do you like them (maybe compared to what ALs usually sport)?

I think the knobs look okay. Its a gorgeous guitar.
I wouldn't go with black knobs. If anything, I'd go with wood knobs that are close looking to the back wood. Or darker.
Maybe wood "plastics" all around.

Oh! I´ve just noticed it is the GBSON LP Modern, not the Epi. It´s the Epi that has PBs.Mr. Leyvatone wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 12:08 pmI’ve never owned a guitar with Probuckers. This LP has BurstBucker Pros. They sound great!
Thanks anyway!
