Here you go. Should be here Saturday. I chose this one among those to pick from because it has very little orangy tint to the burst. I like the soft tone. It is a Satin model which I prefer.

That´s the kind of color/finish I like.

Enjoy it, Jeff!

A new no. 1?

Not sure Tommy, we'll see. These days it seems my No. 1 is actually a set of two, a Les Paul and a semi-hollow. They share duties at gigs. I think it is a safe be that it will mostly likely be my no.1 semi-hollow.

What pickups are stock? Calibrated T-Type Rhythm and Calibrated T-Type Lead. Reviews say they are a remake of the old T Top. Alnico 5 mag and are underwound in the 7 Ohm range. It avoids the mud which I like too. I think I will like them fine considering I like underwound pups in general.

I like underwound pups in general.
Me too. My 333 now has non-potted 7.2/7.4, weak magnet, with impurities intentionally added to his mag mix.
I'm gonna guess the guy had some cat food mixed in at the foundry. I know it mixes well into finish paints.

@Buddha Pickups Tim, I am thinking this is one guitar where I will not have to get you to make me some pups. You know how I like the underwound hums. This baby should be perfect.

The Eagle has landed. It does not smell strongly of vanilla as a couple of my Les Paul guitars did when they arrived. Not sure if that was the cases or the guitars. Maybe because of the finish or maybe they make the cases somewhere else now. It is perfect, came out of the box in tune and plays very nicely. It is very soft playing and the pickups are so clear and articulate. I have only tried it through my Fender SCXD so far and can hardly wait to hear it through my Gibson Goldtone combo. It came with a black leather strap, and a folding guitar multi-tool all embossed with the logo. I have the perfect Well-Hung strap that I will pair with it for life thanks to Brad.

It is officially the most expensive guitar that I have ever purchased, even my Ric 660 was a little less. That said I intent to make it a player. I have had a tendency in the past to not take my higher end guitars to gigs, practice, etc. The bass player in the band that I play with has a 1956 Fender Precision bass that he plays all the time. He has convinced me that they are made to be played and that is what I intend on doing.

The neck reminds me of my Faded Gibson SG, you can feel and see the grain. You can see it in the back of the headstock pic below. I could not be happier with it and now there will be at least two semi-hollow guitars on the block.

Beautiful instrument. The finish looks golden and warm in your pics vs the Sweetwater photos, which look slightly pale by comparison. Good luck keeping the cat hair out of those f holes. :D

HNGD!

After spending the afternoon with this guitar I can say that I could not be happier with it. I am not even sure I am worthy of such a fine instrument. At 65 years old I am sure I do not have that many more years gigging but at least I will get to use it as long as I can.

LOL Mickey, when the time comes if I am allowed one semi-hollow, then it will be the one.

Notice they put the nice vintage 'Gibson' stamped Klusions with the plastic tulip keys on this model? Bet you are not fighting the neck on this one.

No that is not mine. I looked at those Memphis models but do not like the necks and the burst finish is just too orangy. There was a black single hum on the local Offer Up and it was on Reverb too. I messaged the guy 5 times on each site trying to buy it but he never responded. I am glad at this point because I am really happy with the one I got. I would have never know I like them but I saw one on the top row of hooks in Sam Ash and I requested some time with it. The neck profile is so critical to me and I do not like spending that kind of money without knowing first.

That is not a deal either, I think that is retail on a Memphis.
