Could not pass up for $199! Just arrived and other than a few microbubbles in the finish by the upper strap pin (covered by a wee bit of black/red acrylic paint), it's all good. Neck and frets are very nice. Pickups are a bit harsh, gonna try swapping out the ceramics for Alnico IIImage.

i think they were $139 when they first came out? Anyway, when you pull the neck pickup, be sure to check the neck is glued in good. My Firefly 338 was a little lacking in that area, but i got out the wood glue and added some.

I remember you posting about that , and I immediately checked my 338 and it had the same thing...gaps around neck tenon. I poured a good amount of epoxy into the gaps and it became good to go now.

I will pull the pickup and check. They have only been offered by Guitars Garden twice....both times at $199. THanks.

Congrats HNGD!
I am really happy with the V I got recently.
I am tempted to try the Explorer type but the tab is gone from the site.
Cease and desist maybe?

The Jazzmaster looks tempting ( I've been learning some Chris Stapleton stuff lately).

Nice grab, Mike. Looks good.

Firefly should start offering symmetrical DC (AD3200 or Ibanez AR style, no hollow body and no F holes) so I can have three models to dream with.

Enjoy it! HNGD!

I sort of want one, i miss my agile version a lot. Bummer that the pickups are not good. The ones in my $99 douglas gravity are plenty serviceable, so would have thought those would have been close. Let us know how the mag swap goes

Yeah....the Explorers sold out. I have a matte black one and it's excellent. 50/50 they offer another batch.

I would not say "not good" just a bit too harsh or gainy for my taste.

Mine arrived Thursday along with a "Red Bat" LP, a 3 Pickup Flame Maple Grey Burst
and a 3 Pickup "Black Beauty".

Only got to unbox today...P90 looks great...one small area near the toggle where
they buffed it a bit too long and scraped the binding maybe 1/2". Hardly notice it.

The other three are fantastic. Hope to "Bench" them tomorrow.

I order a 3 Mini HB Tobacco Burst Firebird yesterday. Should be here late next week.

At 10 of them, I'm Fireflyed out at this point. :)

I ordered the 3 humbucker matte black. It came with a ugly white pickguard and a nice dent in the surface where the guard screw dug into the surface. It is now up for sale local. I ordered the 3 humbucker Firebird, but messaged GG to cancel...because I just ordered the Tele below, now 33% off.

That's weird about the guard. They USUALLY put them in a separate bag with the Toggle Cap, Truss Rod Wrench and a cheap cable.

Of all the FFs I've snageed NONE had any serious issues. The SG came without a Pickguard shown in their photo and no Toggle Cap.
I wrote to them and they refunded me $25! In the end I decided it looked better without the guard and found a Cap on Fleabay for $3. :)

Lot on the forum upset about the guard. The fact it is there with 2 holes in the guitar in the first place. It has a non-matching white not red strip and the dent in the finish from the screw. Plus, many are saying...myself included, the volume/output of the neck pickup is very low, almost like it is not hooked up. My first major disappointment with them also.

Check the pot wiring? Bad/Loose solder joint maybe?

Got mine too. Amazing for the price. ALMOST flawless finish...someone lost concentration with the buffing wheel on the Cream Binding near the Switch...about 1/2" long. No big deal. PUPS gotta go at some point. Added a Geyker TP-6 to mine for $26. $227 SHIPPED to FL. Nutz. Swapped the Knobs to these off Amazon...$11.75 free shipping with Prime and came the next day. :)

I bought one of those Guyker Bridges for another guitar and have yet to install....are they an improvement over the original? Have you replaced the bridge too, or is that stock? May need to go with those knobs too.
Nice knobs are a must! Do you have photos of the knobs installed? Would love to see!

TP-6 is PERFECT for fine tuning and also adds more sustain since it has more mass. Pic below with new Knobs.

Do you even need to change out the anchors for the bridge? The guyker posts should screw right in? Did you need to make any adjustments or did it just drop right in? Appreciate the help

The TP-6 comes with Posts and Anchors. I've only had to use the Posts on one other FireFly which went right in and the TP-6 went in place. That was only because it was a little tight to begin with so I just swapped them. You may have to adjust the height. My rule of thumb is to keep it high enough so that the strings clear the back edge of the bridge and don't touch it.
