Decent price ($280+ship) on a nice older Agile with the old horn and headstock if anyone's in the market, pickups probably upgraded too:

That is actually a pretty good price in comparison to what people are asking on Reverb and GC. Shipping used to be the killer from MGR and it's still expensive, but the gap is closing there too. I was once told MGR will negotiate shipping based on your actual address if you contact the local store directly, but I never tried it out.

Yeah people on Reverb are insane with their pricing haha, at any given time there are a bunch of Agiles listed up there for $800+ and of course they just sit for years because no one's paying that. Usual going rate on these older models when they actually sell is $400-$450 so this is pretty solidly priced at $335 shipped.

And there is some truth to MGR negotiating shipping prices but it seems to vary from store to store...a few stores did it for me no problem and a few others told me their shipping rates are set.

Yes, Reverb has been pretty out of hand. I still see guys coming up with good deals on the Agile/SX facebook page, but they could just be pulling people's chains too ;-) I actually snagged myself an early Christmas present on Ebay the other day - an older Tobacco 3000 for a pretty decent price. Hoping to share a NGD soon, it will be my first NUGD in a long time and also put me back in the Agile owner's club once again.

Nice! The 3Ks are great. GC has always been my go-to spot for steals on Agiles (and everything else too)...I think the most I ever paid for an Agile from there was $250 and that was for a custom shop AL3200. Got a Harm P90 model for $100, custom shop AS-1000 for $200, AL3100 Silverburst w/SS frets for $240, etc. GC usually either prices these way too high or way too low for some odd reason.

MGR was great when I bought my Taylor 414CE. They had dropped the price due to some cracks on the back what were not in the listing. After I paid they went the extra mile to make sure I knew about them, texted me pics of them and were very helpful. I still bought the guitar because the price was insane and it is something I could fix easily and end up with a killer acoustic.

Other times I have bought stuff from them only to say it was already sold. (An old headstock/deep horned Agile AS820 I think it was)

I am surprised I could sell my AL3010SE Silverburst (guitar, case and pickup upgrades) breaking even even after shipping and fees. People are hard up for lefty Agiles it seems.

Its good you got one again. The agile committee was considering putting you on double secret probation. :)

@honyock makes a good point about lefty agiles. They're not nearly as common used reverb and Ebay tend to be overpriced GC is hit or miss. I think they get priced that way because more and more they do have the rep of being better than the original price. Iwas cheap enough to get my AL's at about 65% of new shipped to the door so I'm usually careful about price.

That's a nice looking guitar and I'm sure will make a great new addition for someo9ne just not me I have a AL 3010 and a AL3200 so don't need anymore Agile SC's. I've never bought anything from MGR and really never think to look when I'm searching for another guitar in fact I'm looking for something now.

I've found some great buys there over the years, though nowhere near as much as I've found at GC. GC is the ultimate goldmine. I'm in the same boat as you, I have a custom shop AL3200 and an AL3100 Silverburst with stainless frets (plus my vintage Cortez LP) so this isn't super attractive to me as a 2K model but for those who absolutely must have the older horn and headstock it's a nice buy.

I need another LP like a hole in the head (I have 3 fantastic LPs), but that orange Agile is sweet and temptiing!
