Dang... if I only had time and energy, I'd be all over the Artist version. Alas, with the way things are now and they way they appear to be going, diving into a new recording solution isn't in the cards!

I got 4 Artist with an interface like 2 weeks ago. I suppose it's good news that I'm not too far into it yet. It's only like $49 to upgrade from 4 to 5...

You should contact Presonus directly and I wager they'll give you a FREE upgrade.

No, since my version of artist came as part of an equipment purchase I'm not eligible. Only for people who actually bought the software.

I have version 4 Pro and haven't gotten to the point of mastery, to even begin to understand how version 5 will benefit me. Some day, perhaps.

I should mention they didn't just stiff me or anything. Anyone who actually bought 4 (within I think the last 90 days), even artist, is eligible to upgrade to the corresponding version of 5 free. And people like me, who got 4 free with equipment, are eligible for 6 free months of that Sphere subscription service. I have no idea how to use version 4 still, and Sphere is even more complex, so it's not worth much to me. But its not like they gave me the finger.
