Just got this rondo email update,
"This week we have some great new items including 8 and 10 string, electric and acoustic guitar string sets from Cepheus (Labella has largely stopped making these now) as well as some new Agile models There are also some great deals on SX models. The SX Furrian will be discontinued in 2023, so only those few models remaining on the site are all that's available.
Enjoy!
Kurt"
Wow! get em while there available!
Just makes me think the hadean teles are next

Actually, since SX is a brand that Kurt doesn't own/control, I suspect that he is systematically dropping SX because he gets a better margin on Hadean, which is his own brand.
My only question is what will he replace the SX basses with.

True but hes the only sx distributer in usa that I know of. The hadean look identical to the sx except the body wood type, headstock shape and tuners with sx logo. I think the sx company is making the hadeans but who knows. If theres no magin left in furrians id guess hadean are close behind if not going up in price like everything made anymore. I know the prices all went up for sx and hadean and i dont expect it to go down ever again.
seems like sx bass is over in usa for now unless sx starts selling on there own in usa

Or, in rondo-speak, it might mean that a huge increase of Furrians is expected over the next years.

I like the SX fantastic mod platforms not very familiar with the Hadean. Are they solid wood I don't mind Basswood after all if it was good enough for Beck but I have a mental block on plywood. Are they decent players similar to SX and on and on.

I was against the hadean due to basswood, medium instead of jumbo frets like sx and cost was to cheap like a glarry imo. I have the nat tele, blk bound tele, tele deluxe and the strat. the strat was the worst of the bunch with bad sharp fret ends. None of them needed any fret leveling and were nicer fit and finish than any sx tele ive ever owned out of 10+.
Super impressed with the hadean teles nicer than a firefly or anything around 200+.
Yeah there great mod platforms like the sx. they need pickups maybe electronics if wanted like every stock cheapo guitar made. I have had dam near all the cheapo guitars made from h benton, firefly, sawtooth, glarry, bullets, iyv, mitchell, esp, oscar schmidt, etc.
I dont think u can get a better cheapo tele than the hadeans on sale right now or the bentons on reverb direct from h benton. Not a sales pitch lol just know ive owned a lot of terds and the hadean teles are not there sx with cheaper wood and diff headstock shape. Id swear the neck shape, pickups, pots, bridge and tuners are the same as sx.

Maybe the case! I wont be buying any sx teles unless they are clearance priced. The hadeans got me happy as hell for cheaper and dam near the same. if there 99.00 ill buy one for surePartscaster wrote: ↑Fri Jan 20, 2023 11:54 pm Or, in rondo-speak, it might mean that a huge increase of Furrians is expected over the next years.

I too am against blah wood. I'm sure the hadean plays nice and all but then so does most used squiers. Without good impressive basic bones I just dont bother. The only reason I wouldn't buy another squier and only reason to buy another guitar was the ash strats and teles from sx. And I never would have bothered with most the overpriced underwhelming looking epis either.artandsoul wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 8:18 pmI was against the hadean due to basswood, medium instead of jumbo frets like sx and cost was to cheap like a glarry imo. I only bought sx and agiles because the functional quality, set necks , beautiful grained wood and giveaway prices. If there wasn't this place and rondo I maybe would only own a handful of guitars. I lived with just my strat and my acoustic for 20 years.
I wonder if I wasn't all full up if I wold have been sucked into the current firefly vortex. I am still very tempted
