I haven't seen much mentioned here about the PS900 & PS924 axes, so I thought I'd add mine to the forum.

I lived a few miles from the Rondo Store, which was located on Route 22 in Union, NJ.
I was impressed by the quality and cost of the Agiles, so I grabbed a few.
I was there on the last Saturday they were opened.
Madhouse.
People were grabbing everything.

Earlier that same week I grabbed 2 PS924WE's (shown below).
The cost: Ridiculous.
I think I may have paid $350.00 for both of them.
IIRC.....it was a 'Buy 1, get 1/2 off the second.'

Why I didn't go back with 2k in my pocket I'll never know.
I would have walked-out with a nice haul.

The one with the zebra's gets played.
The other PS924WE is still in the box.
Same strings, same packing material.
I open it up and check the relief/intonation now & then.
Still looks/plays great.

This blue PS900 is light as a feather and plays like a dream.
(It has a Hummingbird neck decal - Jockomo Guitars.)

This red one was bought on eBay and refinished by me in blonde (rattle-cans).
I applied quite a few clear topcoats, and then hand-rubbed the finish.
I also re-plated all of the hardware.
Pickups: GFS.
Its heavier than my other PS900's, and the action is incredibly low.
Push-pull pots for each pickup.

On the one hand I am jealous. I drove from the Washington DC area the 2 times I was in the store. Then again, if I had lived as close as you when they had the closing sale, I would have had a LOT of 'splainin' to do to the wife! Heck, I've got a truckload of Rondo hardware as it is!

Very nice! The PS line are possibly the best guitars that Rondo ever made. Welcome to the forum.

Its a shame to see the spare ps-924 waste away though. Put some funky pickups in there (maybe humbucker sized p90's?), and play it like it was meant to.

Also, please stop copying my homework - Here are my HSB PS-924, blue PS-900 and refinished PS-900 ;)

Welcome on board I hope you stick around and post often your guitars are beautiful. You have much more self control than I have because I could not left that guitar un-played.
I call my PS900 "The Beast" because that's what it is. I bought it here on the exchange from @Bubba Zanetti for less than $200 the only issue was the nut which was functionally fine but somewhere along the way somebody had done the baking soda super glue fix on it and it looked a bit bad. Anyway I did replace the nut with a TUSQ XL I also replaced the tuners with Grover 406 locking tuners and replaced the pups with a SD JB in the bridge and a SD 59 in the neck they were used I had thus one is black and one is a Zebra. Anyway it's now one of my favorite guitars.
Sorry about the PRS in the picture I was to lazy to take a new one this morning.

Nice axes!

Notice where the pickup switch is on my blue 900......
That's the way it was when I bought it.
Also, those are GFS pickups.
The original neck pickup was a lot more powerful than the original bridge pickup.
Odd.
Thanks!

I was thinking of refinishing it.
But as I look at it now.............maybe not.
I'll try to patch some of the nicks/dings...........maybe clean it up overall but leave it as faded.
Thanks!

Lovely guitars, I wish I had snatched a couple of these back in the day. I was too busy with the LP types though. Welcome aboard.
