You know I was reading an article last week about how these new AI systems have been coming up with false info at an increasing rate as they evolve. Not just incorrect info but info that is clearly fabricated and outlandish. They call it AI Hallucinations..."wow man the colors". I guess AI must have its fantasy non-existent friend growing up stage too...but this concerns me more than anything. Computers making stuff up just to get you off their case with an answer....something weird is happening.

Yup. Trial lawyers have even gotten into trouble with judges because they use AI to do casework and didn't fact-check it. Making up case precedent is pretty bad, and the AI isn't suffering the consequences. The people using it are.

Yes, it's actually more than just annoying. Maybe some of us, old generations, can see the implications and effects, but today's kids and teenagers I'm sure they only see how cool it is.
