Les Paul, there's just something to it

So I'm definitely a Super Strat guy. Today's about the first time in a good two years I've busted out the ol black beauty. It is yum!

Not so ergonomic as a Strat body but man does it sing. Now, I'd really like to get my A2 pros into this puppy and lift that EMG to make a Vito Bratta strat. Maybe in the near future :)

If you only get one set of pickups for your LP, what would it be?

We have a lot of similar ideas PsychoCid but were' exact opposites on our collections - I have one strat that I pull out occasionally but otherwise its' all LP's all the time ;-) That's a nice one, love a black beauty.

If i could only have one LP and one set of pickups, they woudl be P90's. But specifically for HB's, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Gibson pickups - I have 57 classics in my traditional and they are great. The Burstbucker 1/2 or 2/3 combo is really nice too. Otherwise, I've always had fanstic results from Buddha Pickups - just tell him what you want them to sound like and he'll make it so.

And I'm a strat guy too, but every axe has its place!

Nice Epi Black Beauty LightWingStudios. Looks Korean made from the truss rod cover.

The pickup question is easy for me. That would be Gibson Burstbucker 1 & 2.

Well shame on me for being lazy, those were old pics and the flash washed them out.

The binding is at least more creme colored, and the whole package looks sharper with the golden switch tip. :)

Also I believe that's an @rmfroyd (is he not here?) poker chip. DRIVIN / CRYIN.

And yes, I wire my LP switches upside down so I can right hand hammer on without constantly kicking it into the wrong position accidentally.

My @rmfroyd poker chips say:

Country

Western

So my guitars can do BOTH kinds of music. :)

Laughed heartily at that in the Blues Brothers. Have definitely been in that kind of place....
