One of two exciting NGDs this weekend…as many here know I am unhealthily obsessed with my Kiesel Vader and it’s been my #1 in the stable since the day it arrived. I custom ordered that one myself and it’s absolutely perfect for my needs.
I then of course got hungry for more, as one does…but I kinda stopped looking at used Kiesels in the last year or two because secondhand prices were way too crazy and I found that if the guitar has even one spec I wouldn’t have chosen myself (as they do 99% of the time) it just doesn’t work for me.
Lo and behold, a close friend who has 10 (yes, 10!) headless Kiesels recently decided he’s all about their thicker neck profile…so he decided to move a few of his standard profile Kiesels and made me an absolutely unbelievable deal on the two in his collection I love the most.
This is #1 of 2 NGDs this weekend…an amazing Kiesel Zeus. This one has the same wood combo as my Vader - a buckeye burl top with a black limba neck and body, and a royal ebony board with jumbo SS frets. Unlike my Vader it has the raw tone finish, 14 inch radius, and the 24.75 scale length option (and of course is a bolt-on). It’s also chambered and comes in at just under 5.5 lbs. My buddy swapped the Kiesel pups for Alumitones, they sound terrific but I may swap one of them out just so the neck and bridge match visually.
The 24.75 scale makes the already amazing headless experience even better…not sure why more people don’t order them this way.
Anyway, on to the pics (as always click 'em for full quality), and I’ll post about the other one later!

Thanks man! This is technically my buddy's taste since he was the one that spec'd it all out, but they're all choices I would've made myself and aesthetically this guitar is quite similar to my Vader. Kiesel has some of the most beautiful woods out there these days so I often feel like painting over them is a bit of a crime. The other Kiesel headless I got from this same friend this weekend does have the body painted, but it accents the top nicely. Would probably still prefer it natural but for the insane deal I got I'll live with a transparent finish:

That is a beautiful guitar! I really wanted a multi-scale Zeus and/or Vader, but couldn't afford one at this time. Someday, I will own one.

Thank you! They are really making some of the best modern guitars out there right now. I actually find the Zeus a bit more comfy than my Vader due to the bevels, but both are amazing instruments.littlebadboy wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 10:47 am That is a beautiful guitar! Thanks! There's no finish on this one at all actually (no color, anyway)...just Kiesel's raw tone finish which is like a super thin satin. This is all 100% just the natural wood!

Thanks man! I loved this one from the day he got it so I knew if it ever came up for sale I'd buy it. He hooked me up with it for $1200 which is a pretty insane deal, it specs out to almost $2,800 (and that's not including the nearly $300 pickups) so I knew I had to jump on that immediately even though I'm a little short on room for guitars. Luckily these don't take up much space
