I sent this to another member who is a lefty, so he has no use for it. Did not dawn on me at the time he could nor use it until after I sent it. Let me know if one of you has a use for it, an he will send it out. No charge to you. I received one recently with the same requirements . As long as you have a use for it, it’s yours. And not to put up on Reverb or Ebay for sale. It is new and never been used. One of the brass studs came in a little scratched up though. Let me know. Pic attached of what I believe it is.

I'm the temporary custodian of said tremolo however, I've got back surgery this Wednesday so it's unlikely that I'll have a chance to ship it for a couple of weeks....

Thanks,, typical scoliosis L4/L5 fusion. The procedure is pretty much routine these days, I should be home late TH/early FR, minimal restrictions on movement and lifting for a couple weeks after that. Fusion surgery is really just kicking the can down the road for a while but that's a lot better than what I'm dealing with now, for the last couple of years I've been walking around like someone's great grandfather...

I'm still trying to figure out why anyone wants one of those horrible tailpieces?

I'm assuming that you mean by "horrible" anything other than a Bisgby. I know how you roll Mickey, or "roller bridge" I should say.

@tobijohn , you must have somebody reliable to help with all the cats. I imagine that you won't be bending over to scoop boxes for a good while.

I had a pre-surgical appointment and was able to drop it off at USPS nearby (don't want a right-handed trem sitting here if i expire on the operating table), you should have it Friday, will PM you the tracking number

I don't think I've ever changed a guitar's floating bridge from what it came with stock, so curious about your switch goes.

I don't think I've ever changed a guitar's floating bridge from what it came with stock, so curious about your switch goes.

I think it is for a Strat because I sent Sam a Strat hard tail bridge which caused him to turn loose of this.
You are 100% correct, it got too morbid too fast!

So, how many lefty forum members can touch this right handed bridge before it ends up in a guitar?

Sometimes a righty trem works out fine in a lefty guitar. I have one like that right here ----------->

Yes, I've got a few ideas for candidates.

The first is a 2001 Squier Standard HSS Strat. I really like the neck on this guitar. The single coil pups are low output ALNiCos, and though many complain that they sound thin, I think they have a pleasing vintage vibe. The hot JB type bridge humbucker settled down nicely after I swapped the A5 mag for an unpolished A2. It has a 2 point trem, but like most Squiers the bridge, saddles, and wimpy block are one of the weak links. The Wilkinson unit would definitely be an upgrade.

The second candidate is my Sterling Sub Silo 3. It's basically a poor man's Ernie ball Silhouette. This guitar fights way above its weight, with excellent sounding pups, an asymmetrical next carve, and truss rod wheel adjustment at the heel. They had to find a way to produce this thing at such a low cost, and the quality of the two point bridge, well definitely serviceable, is not pro level.

The third choice would be a late 80s USA Peavey Tracer. Like the Predators from this same era, the neck is KILLER! As many of you will no doubt already know, these Peaveys have a four point bridge. While this is a vintage (30 + years old) US made guitar (that claim is also debatable), I'm not too worried about keeping it original. The Wilkinson would be a definite upgrade of the stock Peavey plastic block trem. Seriously, I think the block and the neck plate are plastic on these guitars.

I'll be sure to document whatever mods I make for the benefit of everyone. But right now I can't even thing about tinkering with guitars. I just got a call telling me there's been a cancellation and I'm booked at the last minute for a gig tonight. This will be my seventh show in the last eight days. Tomorrow I hope to be able to give both my fingers and my liver a rest.
