Shipping discounts?

Hey guys,

Great thing about my job the last few years is a sweet discount on ups shipping and a mailroom at my job where I would drop the guitar.

With me working from home the last 7 months I no longer have access to both.

I’d love to sell a few guitars but the last time I shipped my PRs from jersey to Texas ups shipping was like $150. Has anyone tried the reverb shipping option? Curious how much of a discount that is?

And any other options that I could take advantage of?

Reverb and eBay have huge discounts.

I generally ships guitars in huge 8" deep boxes (with case or no case) for less than half that amount cross country.

Last guitar I shipped a month or so back, AL3010SE (in a case) for less than $50 AZ to PA. I only ship in the boxes like Reverb sells after getting screwed by them on the "insurance" they offer when the package was clearly mishandled.

Same here. I'm seeing 30 - 50% cheaper depending on location and time of year through Reverb shipping.

It's usually been $50-60 for me via UPS via Reverb. But, I'm in the midwest. FedEx is often similar for me but ends up being 65-70.
