I've mostly been playing acoustic stuff. Yesterday I decided to play electric. This is my Gibson three knob special. I played it through an old military PA amp converted for guitar through a Blackstar 1x12 cab with an Emminence P50E speaker.

It is a very nice guitar, my #1. It was made in 1991, ebony fret board, medium skinny neck, the pickups are stock. Gibson calls them '59 Les Paul Reissue. They are spectacular PAF style. I like them much better than most Specials which have 490's.

Wow. I would like to hear that amp. How loud is it? Is it good for overdriven tones?

It is driven by two 6AQ5 tubes with a couple of 12AX7 and a couple of 6X4. All the tubes are original 1955. It only had a couple of hours on the Hobb meter when I got it. It’s around 12 to 15 watts. I’ve played in jams with bass, drums, and another guitar no problem. Very clean until it is very loud when it gets a very creamy breakup. It’s a great blues amp.

Finally got one in my hands since December. My hands kind of forget what they were supposed to do. The clip on tuner and good picks didn't make it since no one knows what my brother did with them, but my neighbor did send 2 thin picks. he also packed my hotone amp and headphones which I didn't want as I can't plug them in. ButI'm glad I can start trying to play.

This, my knew partscaster, is the first of 3 I am making to move my favorite pups/pickguards into, and sell 3 CV Squires.
I want the 7.25 radius necks, with 2-7/32 string spacing, and this first alder body is quite resonant with only 3 thin coats of Tru Oil.
I love the way it plays and sounds.I asked a small cnc router company to tap test wood blancs for two 2-piece bodies, and bought a third cheaper multi-piece body they had pre-made. My unfinished alder bodies weigh, 4 lbs, 3.9, and 3.8 lbs.

An import jack plate didnt fit, and I saw a picture of someone's solution for such a case. I like the look, very Jetsons-like.

Playing this guy this morning. I bought this for next to nothing just because I thought it looked cool. I’ve had it for probably six months now and still haven’t even replaced the old rusty strings (which aren’t even wound properly on the pegs!). But is plays pretty nice. Every time I pick it up and play it I tell myself I am going to go through it and get it cleaned and set up, but then it gets set aside and forgotten about again. Maybe today?

Haha not familiar with it but when I first got it I instantly thought of Elroy from the Jetsons. One of my favorites in the stable and yet another classic GC steal.
