Moved last month and unfortunately all my tools are packed, and unfortunately wont see light until about winter.

in an earlier post somenoe mentioned pitbull, which used to be one of the only guys on the planet who 'took a chance' on offering things rather than the normal fender/gibson derrivatives, and actually offered some unique but lower quantity sellers, like the never before seen but often copied "modene"

well hes doing it again, no not the moderne, but SEVERAL nice thinline STRATS

https://www.pitbullguitars.com/shop/gui ... uitar-kit/

and he EVEN has the belly cut on the back, which almost NO ONE offers.

But I think by the time you throw in shipping from down under, pplus the "should shio in july" statement, well lets just say I have tooo many things "coming soon"

So Im looking for something closer, doesnt even need to be a kit, Ill buy a body!

Matter of fact of you are good with a router and have access to decent wood (no FL knotty pine need apply) and want to carve it yourself I'd probably buy it at a reasonable price....

and yes kurt offers one, but just not excited about that color. MATTER OF fact, I actually HATE the amount of wood most people take out of a tree when they make strats.

So if you dont want to carve anything BUT the thinlnine, that would be GREAT

ok im done, gotta go before the monster kicks in......

This guy makes bodies of odd styles.
He's here somewhere but can't remember his name.

Ah, I completely glossed over that it was specifically a semi-hollow Strat kit that you were looking for. Bargain Musician has one but only with two P90s. I've got a couple of their kits and while I haven't put them together, the quality and fit is good on both. Like most kits other than the ones from Precision and high end BYOG models, the hardware is just functional:

You'd need a pickguard too and the controls are accessed from the back as well...

I've had a couple of bodies made by Rosser Guitars, and they do offer a thinline Strat. I'm going to get one for a baritone build.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Guitar-Body-Un ... SwtMNbq5ip

He seems to only make bodies out of northern ash, which are heavy, but the thinline body weighs between 4.5 and 5.5 lbs, if I remember correctly.

Hmmm... I didn't notice any PRS-type bodies. I'll have to take another look.

What happened to your tools?
