PSA: lefty transitional-style AL3100 at Guitar Center

I went into Guitar Center the other day, and they had an AL3100 goldtop for sale, in really mint condition - with the old-style headstock but stubby horn, which I believe dates it to a very short "transitional" period, IIRC. I probably would have bought it had it not been a lefty!

I like it, but I'm not buying it. Around half the gear I bought from Guitar Center in the last year has shown up damaged. And after I returned those, Guitar Center relisted them without any change reflecting that damage. I don't want them to damage any more guitars shipping to me, so I'm done with Guitar Center.

I get you; after browsing a bunch of GC used listings, I wouldn't trust most of those GC employees to tie their own shoes. But if you want me to go back and take more pictures, or if you even want to make an arrangement where I do the shipping for you, let me know.

That's a generous offer and I appreciate it. But believe it or not it's one of two lefties of the same open book headstock Agile model for sale at the same time. This morning I extended an offer on the other one, so I'm waiting to hear back on that. I'm on the hook. I completely agree it's a great version of a gold top, and I hope someone will take good care of it.

Is the $500 asking price realistic?

I'm landing on opining this is an AL-2500 or an early unnamed predecessor. The rosewood fretboard instead of ebony and single ply binding keep it out of the 3000s. But I'm sure some people here know more than me as to exact specs. I can't find an old Rondo page with the open book headstock matching the gold top, P90, single binding even on the headstock, rosewood fretboard combo.

Some kind of custom order, maybe?
Meanwhile, an
old old Agile has shown up on FB Marketplace for a very reasonable price, but a bit far for me to travel, grr.
