The sub forum was just added, we do have our share of bass players floating around.
"Unsung Pocket Masters".
Yes, they play a lot of pocket pool since women avoid them, but I was trying to be polite and welcoming!

Nice set! I've got this Ibanez ATK500KA on the way...my first ever good quality bass. Had a bargain basement Yamaha for a while before I sold it but now that I'm pretty set on doing way more recording I figured it was time for one solid bass in the stable.
These are fairly rare and were only made for about a year (1995-96) in Japan at the Fujigen factory. Specs include an alder body with a flame koa top, 3pc maple neck, and Gotoh tuners. Only ever been able to find a few for sale and I'm a sucker for a nice koa top so I had to scoop it up.
Crappy GC pics here, as it's set to arrive Friday:

I have plenty of love for the bottom end, both types!
My gig-rig from before I quit the cover band I was in. The head is almost twice as heavy as the cab.

Love the bottom, and I own several basses. My favorite bass right now is my Douglas Violin Bass with LaBella Flatwounds on it. Maybe tomorrow I'll photograph "The Space of Bass", which is the corner of my basement where the numerous oddball basses reside.
One thing we have here in Nashville is good bass players. I'm lucky to have spent many hours in Nashville clubs of yore staring starstruck at Glenn Worf and Micheal Rhodes and Dave Pomeroy, and more. Those guys are real bass payers, Hoss, and if you get in a room with them they sort of rub off on you a little.
And then we have our own Victor Wooten. Damn.
I was very blessed to be around the late great Roy Huskey, Jr., who always totally blew the room away with his exquisite timing, tuning, and tone on the upright. Almost never said a word. Sadly, he died of lung cancer at 40. He was a monster talent.
My old pal Bill Kenner is a great bassist. A long tall lanky Texan, loose as a goose. He toured with Cale and Leon some over the years.
My favorite bassist of all time: Willie Dixon. Man, I would have loved to have seen him play.

After I get my Schecter Model T strung back up, I'll take a pic of my 3 basses.

I'll get a pic of my Brice bass after i figure out how to clean the thing. It's got an open pore finish and it looks super nasty right now. Anyone have any tips on how to clean it?

No pics, but I have three basses; Jay Turser PBass copy, Ibanez miKro bass, and Carvin LB70L.
All lefties, like me.
I have much love for the bottom, both types. Even though I'm a bit of a boob man, I love a nice pair of seat cushions.
Even though I have 5 guitars and 3 basses, I absolutely love the bass. I just don't need as many basses as guitars to get the bass tones I want.
I've got my PBass, PJ bass, Short scale, J bass, and active bass needs well handled by the three I have.
Seriously, though, I'd have a lot more basses and guitars if a divorce wouldn't wipe me out.
I do need a MM Stingray and a Warwick Thumb Bass. But, marriage.

I've actually been playing more bass than guitar these days - I got a bass because I wanted to be able to make better demos, then I figured I should actually take some lessons so I could do it right, then I got a better bass, now I need a better amp...!

Fender Jazz Bass Special (which I have since been restoring to something closer to stock condition):

No bass probably won't ever play one but love the bottom. Spent a couple hours just focusing on Berry Oakley's playing in the Allman Brothers. All I can say is they wouldn't have sounded near as good without him working the bottom.
