I know what you mean about put away guitars. I just broke out my al2500 albino the last 2 weeks and its an insane waste keeping it boxed up.

I took it to church yesterday, and it just did what I needed it to do! This is funny to me because, although my G&L L2000 and L2500 are trying to change my mind, I am primarily a J style guy and this thing has dual MM style pups. I had to adjust the neck before taking it out but the action is very nice (i.e., better than I'm used to).

It's a shame that Douglas is gone from the bass line at Rondo. They do good guitars, and I have some of those too, but every single Douglas bass I've bought has exceeded my expectations, based on price.

Oh well, I'm just glad I have mine!

Gee, I'm sorry you missed out. I'm not sure what model they blew out, but my other Douglas neck thru basses I bought as b-stocks for $100 apiece (WPB955 fretted and fretless). There was some controversy over the fretless because the side dots were in the same place as they are on a fretted neck, but I found out that once I know, it doesn't matter. Easy mental adjustment (I suck equally with either configuration).
