Looks like NUX finally released an upgraded improved version of the venerable Cerberos. I was on the fence half a dozen times about to pull the trigger on the Cerberos because I loved the analog vs digital access on the main panel but it was already a few years old when I heard of it, giving me some pause. It seems they have kept the analog friendliness and added a small digital panel for more configurability. While I am pretty happy with my little Valeton GP-100, it lacks certain things like Rotary Speaker effect for example and of course all configuration is done on a little screen or WIndows app, which while it works great, still is a bit annoying. This might be my upgrade path depending on what price it lands here at. I also notice that Boss has realeased the ME-90 successor to the ME-80, which has a very similar analog layout, but seems to quite a bit larger so I'll have to evaluate the pros and cons of both units, also the Boss adds an expression pedal, which for me just gets in the way...

I have the Valeton GP200, which while nice, I think I'm more like you and prefer the simpler, more analog approach. I've also thought about the Cerebus, but would like to try one out... I'm just not really into pedals that much, and I'd only use maybe 2 effects - Reverb and delay, and I'm pretty picky on delays. If you get one, please let us know how it is!

My biggest problem is that everytime I consider a new unit, I realize the 3 or 4 simple patches I have created on the GP-100 suit me just fine for 99% of what I need. If I do get one I might then turn the Valeton into a dedicated looper on the floor , now I just use my hands to trigger, not great but serviceable. So many pieces of gear, so little disposable cashsolteroblues wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 9:38 am I have the Valeton GP200, which while nice, I think I'm more like you and prefer the simpler, more analog approach. Well, I always liked the ME80, and the upcoming ME90 seems to add some better features while retaining its simplicity and practicality to get your tones. The Trident is also interesting but, for me, on the contrary, it lacks an expression pedal, which I would like it to have. Can´t please everybody, right?Tonray's Ghost wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 10:35 pm I also notice that Boss has realeased the ME-90 successor to the ME-80, which has a very similar analog layout, but seems to quite a bit larger so I'll have to evaluate the pros and cons of both units, also the Boss adds an expression pedal, which for me just gets in the way...
Anyway, hope you can get the one you like soon!
Edit: Ok. I googled a little more about that Trident, and you can connect an external pedal to it, so that´s good in case you want it. It´s on the expensive side, though. I believe there are $200 difference between the ME90 and the Trident.
