I am not trying to talk about the politics of this. My curiosity is this: what are they going to do with all those pedals? Surely they won't end up in a dumpster. Right? Where so they go? Does Perfect Stranger get them all? Inquiring minds wanna know...

VERY happy I already own Amplitude with the Fulltone options. The Tri-Chorus is nothing short of astonishing.

Not political, just my opinion. I've heard years ago he kind of had a attitude on several guitar gear/pedal forums. That doesn't personally bother me. People talked about his pedals and some people had a problem. Maybe jealous. This is a prime example of how what you say on social media goes against someone else and gets all blown out of proportion due to only part of the post gets quoted. Read all what he said. He's talking about how innocent shop owners are paying for the damage a few are doing. I too just see it as an excuse to loot. If you don't like something, do something about it, not looting, stealing, burning, etc.

Fulltone pedals are great. Maybe I can find some on the cheap!

So hes a small business and he hates businesses being looted and burned down. And he points out that the people he pays taxes to wont do one of the most critical parts of their jobs and protect life and property. And he points out people trying to conflate honest protesters from rioters and looters? WTF. Now I need to go give GC shit. It will sure be funny when GC learns it won't do them a damn bit of good when the mob hits them. Black lives are important and black lives have meaning but I dont think I'll ever say the BLM line as they are now. Rioters lives dont matter. I can't picture how this could be at all political. Unless there is a party that caters to riots and thieves?

The more I think about this the more it seems like this is actually less about politics and more about customer service. He kinda went to war with his own Facebook fan page and threatened some of his own customers.
But, again, the why matters less to me. What is happening with those pedals? Someone must know someone who works at GC.

Well, he's free to say whatever he wants and businesses are free to no longer carry his products just as individual buyers are free to buy or not buy from him. I wasn't a fan of his pedals to begin with (I've had a few and they were all meh) so saying I won't buy from him is more or less pointless.
edit: Also, why did most previous post get deleted here? I literally just posted screenshots of what he said for context? I didn't even say a word. I let his own words speak for himself.

It was super trippy to see this whole saga play out!

I didn't see your earlier post. Can anyone but mods delete posts (also, is it possible you wrote the post and hit 'preview' instead of 'submit'?)? I didn't post his statements because I didn't want to get into a back and forth about the substance. But I didn't think what he said about the protests was all that bad (we're all opposed to looting), and not nearly as bad as what he said to his customers. In either case, I continue to care much more about what is going to happen to those hundreds (thousands?) of pedals being summarily thrown out the back of all those GC stores...
You watch - GC won't get rid of them at all. They'll very quietly set up some shell company, and the shell will buy all of GCs Fulltone stock at pennies on the dollar. GC will take a 100% tax deduction on the difference between what they paid Fulltone and what they paid themselves through the shell, and then use the shell to quietly sell the pedals on Reverb for $80/each until the end of time. Maybe they won't go out of business.

Sweetwater has an eBay account that sells stuff that they don't list on their site, I'm sure GC/MF/WW&B/etc. could just use an eBay account to sell that stuff out the side door so to speak...

It was definitely posted here. A mod deleted it. We'll see what GC does. I don't imagine they'd just pull them off shelves if it meant they'd lose a ton of money. No longer carry could mean that they simply won't order any new ones. I don't like his products enough to ever buy them new at the prices he charges. If they were <$80 I might reassess my feelings.

Chances are he was in a pissy mood and just posted what was on his mind. We are all guilty of that from time to time. Some big corporate bigwig sitting at their $5000 desk saw what he posted didn't align what the latest "trend" is about. So, since you do not want to offend the masses, lest they come for you, you convince the other board members GC is now following the trend and feel the pain. Kind of like a fake insurance policy they won't get looted.
I have seen $3000 desks companies had made for them out of old wood "from the old original building". So I did exaggerate a little.

It read "the fourth night of looting with impunity". Didn't mention protesters from what I saw. So how do you come up with protesters were doing the looting? You can't from that. I mean you can make it up, but what I read didn't say protesters did the looting.
