Video reviews seem good. Not affiliated with Martin anymore. Made in Indonesia.
Solid spruce top, sapele back and sides.
I've got a few dreadnoughts and gp styles, but don't really have an OM style acoustic so I figured this for $99 is worth a shot.
Seems hit and miss on if you get grovers or not.

They also have the dreadnought for the same price fyi

Many many moons ago I had a Sigma by Martin i think it was a 1970's guitar don't remember the model # but I do remember it was a good sounding well built guitar that was made in Japan.

My 1st good guitar was my sigma dread by martin for around $100 at a mail order place that was actually near me so i bought it local. I still have it and it still sounds pretty good. I need to ind me a decent small body.

Got it today. This is a solid guitar for 100 bux.
Satin neck. Pretty top. Martin style headstock. Not grovers but definitely seem on par. Not cheap plastic nut and saddle.
Easily in the ballpark with my low end x series martin.

Kind of blows one's mind to understand how it's possible to build a solid, playable guitar, ship it over the ocean at the height of supply chain armageddon, then warehouse it, and ship it back out again - for $99 and still somehow make a profit on it. OK, maybe it's not a mystery - but still kind of amazing.

Right?!
I'm totally thinking about grabbing the dreadnought too to keep in a weird tuning

You'd basically be getting both for the price of one with the SDOTD so why not I guess? I like the alternate tuning idea too....Alice tuning? "It Ain't Like That" might be worth $99 in itself ;-)

So I also have to ask, what's the wood like? It says solid spruce top, sapele back and sides and rosewood bridge/fingerboard in the specs. Does it appear to actually be the species and type as advertised and show real wood grain on the inside too? It looks to have acual bracing from the photos as well. Maybe you could post some pRon? I'd be interested in what the top color looks like in real life too - it looks almost yellow in the photos as compared to the Dread.

I definitely have one or 2 I already dedicate to Eb tuning. A lot of my favorite 90s rockis in Eb.
I think I'd love to have one dedicated to an open E tuning or maybe dadgad...

I'll try and take some pics asap.
Definitely real wood bracing inside. The body has poly so I'm not a huge fan of that but the top looked solid iirc but the sides were a laminate I'm pretty sure but ill check again...hard to tell with the poly coat.
I think the dread comes with grovers.

OM style is gone but the dread is still available for a few more days. Solid acoustic for this price imo

Mine arrived a couple days ago. Only able to play it a few minutes, but I really like the sound & love the appearance. Great deal for the money. I will need to lower the saddle, but other than that very happy.
