So I finally finished my latest partscaster, complete with custom headstock decal, and I love it!

The neck is a Gibson-scale from Warmoth. I don't have the stretchiest fingers, so I like the shorter scale.

The body is from a Squier Standard Strat. I had turned it into an art guitar many years ago:

But I wasn't crazy with how it turned out. A couple of years ago I started to sand off the decoupage but my friends thought it looked cool when half-sanded...so I listened to them and stopped sanding. I also put on a cheap $20 loaded HSS pickguard from AliExpress.

This is how she looked a few weeks ago:

But I really wanted a white white white Strat, so I got out the spray paint and painted it.

I don't like glossy, plasticky finishes, so I left it satin. Much prefer the feel.

The pickups really surprised me. They are classic alnicos from GFS that I had bought MANY years ago and had forgotten about. They sound VERY Stratty. I totally dig them.

The headstock decal came from Etsy. Nut is Graph Tech Tusq XL. Tuners are Wilkinson. Wilkinson trem with pop-in arm. Only thing she still needs is a white switch tip.

I did the 1 volume, 1 tone wiring, which I prefer.

She is a blast to play and sounds great.

It looks great. Nice work! How do you like the Warmoth conversion neck? I used a gibson-scale conversion neck from another manufacturer on a squier body recently and love it. I have another project in mind and was checking out warmoth for another gibson scale conversion.

Love it.

Next gear purchase will be another Warmoth Gibson-scale conversion neck, but with the Fatback neck profile and stainless frets. :)

I like the shorter scale too. It's part of the reason I switched from a Tele to a Les Paul.

Sweet! I did like the decoupage when you did it, but I've been a fan of solid color guitars for a while now - especially in white. I've never tried a 24.75 neck on a strat before., but I imagine it would work great. Nice job!

Nice...you started off right where you left off, more strats! I only have one strat but it's exactly the same cosmetically ( white/maple ) and my favorite combo. I like satin finishes as well on just about anything so satin FTW.
