(With a minor caveat that this is a 2005 reissue and not one of the originals from the early 80s. But still cool!)

As a kid I wanted one of these Washburn A series guitars that I'd see advertised in Kerrang and Circus soo flippin' bad! This A20 reissue showed up for sale nearby on FB Marketplace and I couldn't resist. The 80s ones were neck-through whereas this is set neck but it's got the brass inlays and nut. Needs a bit of a cleanup and new strings but it plays pretty killer. I'm already working on acquiring a set of cream Super Distortions.

Crappy seller's pics for now.

Gearlist: A few LP's, a Strat, a Tele and a few acoustics.

Awesome - glad you were able to realize the dream! Kerranng...now that dredges up some good memories too. I had a Dimarzio SD soapbar in an LP junior once, it was a great pickup.

Oh yeah, I remember those ads now! Thanks for the great flashback and that's a great reissue you scored too.

While it's not an ad for the A Series I've gotta add this one too just for laughs. I remember seeing it back in the day and thinking to myself, "Why is the drummer from Night Ranger in a Washburn guitar advertisement?"

The Washburn Kelly Keagy: "I have no idea why I'm endorsing this!"

I wanted one of the pointy Washburn HMs pretty badly in the 80s. I nearly bought a Washburn when I was 16, but the Ibanez was better and cheaper. Don't discount the "cheaper" being a big portion of why it won out.

There's actually one of the old Washburn double cuts from that series for sale here in Ottawa. For the price the guy is asking, it will remain there.
