I sold my Yamaha A5M ended up keeping my Yamaha LL16D I love that guitar and I've had a Yamaha FG820 12 12-string for a while so after trying a Eastman E10D I would have liked to try the E 20D it's the Rosewood version as well but there wasn't one available to try. My friend's store Music City Asheville has become a dealer for Recording King and I got to try those Recording King RD-328 both great guitars the Eastman IMO was the better guitar but the Recording King ain't no slouch solid Rosewood back and sides and fretboard Adirondack Spruce top no pickup Eastman same basic specs solid Mahogany back and sides better appointments and I liked the Eastman's neck better the Recording King was about $750 the Eastman $1350 both guitars are built in China. The Yamaha offering in this price range I chose as my main acoustic was the LL16 D also made in China I like it better than those two It is also solid wood Rosewood back; sides and fretboard and it's supposed to have an Engelmann spruce top don't know the significance of that like the others had an Adirondack spruce tops and really all I've mostly saw are Sitka Spruce. All great guitars I bought my LL16 used from GC it was mint for $539 new they're about $1100
My new guitar I chose as a 2nd acoustic is a Yamaha FGX830C nice Sitka spruce top Rosewood fretboard laminate Rosewood back and sides nice pickup system with tuner. I knew about this guitar by the one a customer brought me it was new but sounded a bit muffled, so I changed the nut saddle and bridge pins to TUSK and it wasn't a subtle tone change that guitar turned into a monster. So MF had a B-stock for a great price they list for $539 mine was $439. The nut, saddle and bridge pins are ordered.
