My G-45 Studio came today and I really like it. It doesn't sound like the J-45 but after all it is about $2000 less anyway it's got an unmistakable Gibson tone. The bass strings have a good deep throat but at the same time seems balanced well with the mids and treble with good presence overall it has a crisp tone. It has the Fishman Sonitone pickup system that works well I just don't care for reaching in the sound hole to adjust volume or tone. It came with a nice Gibson HSC. This guitar is definitely a keeper I went overboard with pictures.

Wheres the beautiful walnut back pics? My brother settled on the j45 also after trying out a bunch he ended up at an acoustic specialty store where the salesman was pretty sure and he agreed this was the sleeper steal deal of the year. I've played them a few times and was thinking the same thing.

That's some gorgeous looking grain. I had often wondered why guitar builders were not using more domestic woods like walnut, oak, cherry etc - but you do see a lot more of them now.
