I wanted one of these for a long time. I was in love with the all white Korean version way back when except for the bridge. So, when one of these came up for much less than market around here, I went for it.
The guy said it was his first Floyd guitar, so I was wary of issues with the bridge. The Edge 3 does not have a stellar reputation, but I have a Floyd 1000 series in the appropriate colour on hand.
When I first got it home, it would NOT stay in tune with any use of the bridge. I was worried until I looked at the trem from behind and saw it was way off kilter. Once I adjusted it level, boom, it stays in tune!
More than that, the guitar feels more alive than my RG350MZ. I have some issues with the old Edge Zero II trem with the Zero Position System feeling dead. This would seem to confirm some of those thoughts. At any rate, so far so good on white guitar. I suspect that my usual fastener replacements will make a difference too -- I alreadyadded the stainless neck screws save for one.
All knobs and switches work well, and the neck is so, so slim.
Not sure whether pickguard is original, but no matter, I have a white pearl one on order. I kind of want to get white pickups too, but I can't justfy it right now.
Pics!
It is not in perfect shape....
...but "neck is stable."
