New Gear - POD GO

Got a POD Go this week and man, I have to hand it to Line6, they have come a long way. I dropped an IR into a few patches and goodness did it make a difference. Sounded better in the mix than the AxeFX.

Curious as to what you guys think of this quick track - I'm very impressed with Line6 after just a few hours tweaking - the AXEFX is still off. Usually it would have been right back in the box. Makes me wish I would have kept the Helix LT a while back.

From a POD Go perspective, I made two patches. One Rev Generator Red and the other using the Badonk amp. Both are using the ML Sound Lab - Best IR in the world IR.

The other two guitar tracks are my usual Kemper patches.

Leads are the POD Go using a SLO type patch.

Lighter stuff is all POD Go again, with some different patches I created last night.

Sounds very professional! I am not that familiar with the REV or the Badonk, but am familiar with SLO-100's and that was convincing.

I haven’t played any “real” versions of these amps to be honest, I just try and recreate what I hear in my head.

Glad you liked it though

The amazing part is that the HX Stomp and Stomp XL have even more moreness. I suspect the go is more than enough though. I can't totally figure out my XL, so it probably was lost on me.

So apparently the models and sound quality are the same, the difference is in DSP. Yes you can do more with the other units but for rhy and lead tones this is enough. Anything else the axefx and Kemper can handle.
