This was a fun one I threw together over the past few weeks. I got lazy with my guitar tone and simply hit my Rockman with a Match EQ. But I tried a new approach to mixing drums! Normally I have all the elements separated for complete independence, this time I tried incorporating the room and overhead mics and mixing more organically. Hope you enjoy, and Merry Christmas!

I so appreciate the effort you put into a production like this. Right out of the gate it struck me as having a distinctly Different Kind of Truth era VH vibe.
There's so much musical intelligence in this tune. It's chock full of meaty riffs, catchy melodies, and just enough schred-o-rific flash to make it exciting but without devolving into a mere noodlefest.
The way you mixed it does feel organic and live, like a band in a room. It sounds raw and energetic.
Two thumbs way up!
