Dude I loved this, the only thing that kinda bugged me, and this is me nitpicking, is the clash in tone. The cleans are full and lush but the distortion kicks in kinda fizzy in comparison. If you dial back the harshness of the distortion, its spot on. Again, just me nitpicking, its a fantastic tune. I absolutely love the vibe from start to finish.

I'm tone deaf. Haha! I'm also having trouble in EQ 'ing because my projects always sounds different when I play through my studio monitors, Bose companions, headphones, and car stereo. I don't know which to go by.
I'm self taught in recording and without any formal training or learning, I just go by what sounds good to me.

I totally get it man. I'm self taught in everything. What I did was recorded the tune and mixed it on day 1, then came back on day 2 and mastered it. That way my ears were fresh. Then I would listen to it on different speakers and test it out. Once it was good I saved it as a template so I don't have to go through that again. It's a pain but putting in the time helps in the long run. Also, I would not suggest using anything Bose or Beats for mastering/EQ work. Bose sucks mids out quite a bit and beats ass a rediculous amount of bass. But that's just my .02. I still think your end product sounds fantastic though just mentioned those few things to push it to the next level which your compositions and playing deserve. I'm definitely a fan of your stuff.

Thanks for the tip! I appreciate your advice! It's nice to know that compositions can't be done in a day. Having a real job and family responsibilities, I tend to rush on things.

That is exactly why I spent all that time up front. This let's me open the template and record a tune in an hour or two. It's already mixed and mastered on render. All I need to do is little tweaks here and there. Gotta love technology!
