Little sloppy but I had about 45 minutes on the axe at this time. The more I get to know it, the better it’ll get! I’m going to dedicate a lot of time to learning chord melodies instead of my usual pickings.

I wrote this song a few years ago. I was walking beside the Squamish River. My back was killing me and the chorus came to me. When I got home I decided no one wanted to hear a song a bout my bad back so it became a song about love gone wrong.

Most of you have already watched it on the original thread https://www.aguitarforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=768, but thought I could take my first step here in the AGF Coffeehouse with this, for posterity.

This one is just a short progression. But it holds a meaning behind the mindless chords.
Intentionally shot grainy and low light. Its dark out, rain is coming down, but there is something coming through the clouds.
My wife and I are in major "get out" mode right now. We are wanting to simplify things, sell a fair amount of luxury items, and move to Charleston. Buy a fix'er up'er and live well below our means. Not that we are drowning. But imagine, a mortgage that could be $400+ lower a month? Getting paid more in my particular field from the move, she works 100% remote any way. 20 minutes from the beach. 20 minutes from the city. It's pretty sh*tty right now in many regards. But there is pretty music and sunny horizons.

Figured I would post this one again. I really love Johnny Cash and his cover of this song. I can hear the physical pain he must have been in while recording his last body of work.

I enjoyed the tune in a good sad way, Spike. You certainly transmit the feeling.

My old band leader just posted up some old video from last dec. I think it was the last performance we did. The Bass player was leaving then as we were just going onstage with the new guy covid hit and shut us down.
Here we are doing one way out with me on slide with my agile 3001. Has those nice ss frets so naturally I play slide on it Me at 7 min mark.
Open E iirc so I can hear a few times where I get a touch lost but overall not too bad I think.

It was an all rondo night as most of the night I played my SX callisto jr.
Here I am singing and playing (imagine that) Black crowes jealous again at the 3 min mark.

I could see you were using your ammoon wireless gizmo. Are you having problems with the battery time now? How long have you had them?

Thanks. That was my last band. Not sure if its going forward. Haven't met w any of them since before st pats day lockdown. Me and the new bass player that's not even on that video are off doing our own thing now. That band still very much my songs and his songs not much of our songs.sabasgr68 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 30, 2020 3:13 pmnice playing and singing, Damon! The amoon has been great. I think it makes it through a 4 hr practice but not much more but I really like it.

A couple from the old forum.
This one goes back to early days on the old forum.
This is another older one, but what impressed me the most, is the number of
replies I received. I was humbled, and it built my confidence to post. I've
always been very insecure about my music, and you guys changed that. Sincere thanks.
