Sideways Pics?

Can anyone tell me why my pictures show 'rotated-left' in the thread, but right-side-up when you click on them?
Something I am doing wrong?

Hi, it's a problem with Apple,
If you edit the photo in any way on the phone before you post it will be fine on here.

Thanks for the quick response! I have an Android. Does your advice also apply for that?
