Thread opens to first unread post feature.

I was wondering about the feature of the site delivering people to the first post one hasn't yet read.
It used to be useful, when not having read an active post in a few days, to be delivered to the next post one hasn't read.
Some threads grow so fast it would take a lot of time to find the point from which to continue reading without missing new posts.
New AGF will have more and more longer posts, it will become more convenient to have such a feature.
But, I have no idea how practical or problematic that is to program/install.

If you click on the little red page icon to the left of the thread name it will take you to the first post in the thread that you haven't read yet. Is that what you mean?

True, JB. But I've noticed 2 issues when that. 1) Some threads don't have the little, red icon for whatever reason. 2) If you mistakenly click the thread title/hyperlink instead of the red icon and it takes you to the first page, that's now your first unread and that feature won't work anymore.
Side note, didn't there used to be a little "go to first unread" link at the top of each page when the new sight was started? Or did I hallucinate that?
