ATTN MEMBERS! "Remember Me" Function!

All the "Remember Me" function does is SAVE your ID and Password on your device so that when you come to the login page those fields are "pre-filled in". IT DOES NOT LOG YOU IN AUTOMATICALLY!

The board is set for a TWO HOUR timeout of inactivity and then it logs you out.

If you close your browser while logged in, the board will terminate your session at the server and you will have to log in the next time you come to the site.

This is similar behavior to and no different than if you use online banking, pay for phone or utility services, etc. or even if you go to other online sites where security is implemented such as Musicians Friend or Sweetwater to order gear, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

There is nothing wrong with the board. The security is there to keep all our data safe and to keep spammers from slamming the board.

I'd prefer it to keep alive a few days. This new way is more secure but gets in the way. Have we had problems with the looser security before?

It's not too much to ask people to login to the board to participate.

All you're being asked to do is click on a link and a button.

We prefer to be more secure than "convenient".

I know preferences vary. I prefer more security. It doesn't really bother me to login, I set a browser shortcut to the Welcome Page area where I can login via the upper right side of the board.
