So when I visited this AGF today I am getting an odd message from the Webroot Antivirus Filtering Extension that states as follows....
" Webroot - Caution
This site may contain content that could affect your online security."
This is new as of today. I have also been having some very wonky behavior from Firefox starting last night, everywhere, off and on. I have run full computer scans with 5 different AV and AntiMalware scanners and all report I am clean.
I am NOT getting this Warning message from Webroot Filtering Extension on other websites/forums I visit daily.
Any idea what could be triggering the Webroot Filtering Extension warning?
Strange Message From Webroot Antivirus
If you've got any more detailed report from it, can you let me have it please?

Link to webroot website. FFS the way they try to "explain" the message I am getting is not done in a clear fashion.
Here is a link if you care to check it out.
https://docs.webroot.com/us/en/home/web ... esults.htm
Aslo when I google search aguitarforum.net webroot filter is displaying the same warning in the list of google results.
for the aguitarforum.com version webroot filter is showing the Green Checkmark "all is well" icon.

OK, I think this is what applies here. From Webroot website
"Caution. This site may contain content that could affect your online security.
These are generally benign sites, but have exhibited some characteristics that suggest security risk. There is some probability that you will be exposed to malicious links or payloads."

I've raised a request to have the rating reviewed, and adjusted.

Thank you.
FWIW I used a 2nd computer that is running Bitdefender which also has a website "rating" component and Bitdefender is still giving aguitarforum.net their Red Checkmark of approval.
Got off the phone with webroot rep. He's kind of new. Says he is bumping the info about the security warning message to the specific group that handles that type of thing and I will hear back by email. Also says latest Webroot Filtering Extension/Threat Shield has had a few issues with Firefox.
It is always something.

I may not have come to this forum on my Bitdefender computer in the earlier stages so I am not sure how it would have reacted had I done so. I have not had any issues reported from Bitdefender in my visits here with that computer.
I do know that early on the Launch Pad (Picture Page) was not configured for HTTPS which will trigger most security programs that monitor URLs.

I tried with 3 different browsers WITH the "https" and all was good. Please try that if you would.fullonshred wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 11:34 am OK, I think this is what applies here. From Webroot website

The "Launch Pad" page is dead and buried for almost 2 weeks now.fullonshred wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 12:32 pmI may not have come to this forum on my Bitdefender computer in the earlier stages so I am not sure how it would have reacted had I done so. I understand that. I was replying to Houblues who reported he saw warnings from Bitdefender in his EARLY visits to this website. I was guessing that perhaps his EARLY warnings may have come from the Launch Pad when it was still set up as HTTP.LightWingStudios wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 1:51 pmThe "Launch Pad" page is dead and buried for almost 2 weeks now.fullonshred wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 12:32 pmI may not have come to this forum on my Bitdefender computer in the earlier stages so I am not sure how it would have reacted had I done so. Webroot say they’ve adjusted the site record now

Did they say WHY it just started the Warning behaviors today? Maybe a Webshield Update?
So far all I have gotten is an obligatory "We are looking into it" type email replay promising more info within 24 hours.
No, but their FAQ talked about new sites and traffic profiles.
I’m guessing we’ve sprung up and have enough traffic to be noticed

Just got this from Brightcloud who runs web filtering at Webroot. LOL at responses as my "suggestion" was that they let me know if the website was actually listed as a "possible threat" for any specific reason, and if they found it is actually safe to let me know and be sure to fix the false classification. Here is their reply.
"Hello again -
We have reviewed aguitarforum.net, and although we did not take your suggestion exactly, we have updated the site to the Entertainment and Arts categories. This change is now published in the BrightCloud Service and is available in Database version 7.409.
Thanks again for your suggestion!

and as of this visit Webroot Filter/Webshield still has the same message. May take a day or two to update I suppose.
