Allowing MP3 attachments?

I noticed that the board doesn't permit MP3s as attachments, which seems kind of strange for a music-related forum. Is that a setting that could be changed?

I wonder if it is due to a lack of a player embedded in the forum programming.
Can't say I've seen audio files shared outside of links to SoundCloud and the like.

Hi all,
To start hosting files would need storage, and file management then becomes an issue, increased times for backup, etc,
It's massively more efficient to use hosting services for that sort of thing, and link, which is where soundcloud and the like come in,
I speak from experience, an old forum I owned had thousands of files uploaded, and system upgrades or migrations were an absolute nightmare,
Cheers,
Rich

Fair enough, that's a reasonable explanation. Thanks!

I suggest getting a FREE Soundcloud account, upload there and posting links here.

The free Soundcloud account only comes with a small amount of storage, though. Once you fill up your allotted storage, you either have to delete files, or pay (not pushing for storing files here, just putting that out there). That's part of the reason why I make videos... No upload limits on Bitchute, and videos are good for the forum's SEO (indexing).

Funny I never really noticed that where I immediately noticed the pic size limit. I guess when no one else offers it either you just dont notice.
