Forum Posting interface layout suggestion

I have no idea if your software has this as an option or if it is easy to do this, but I wanted to suggest something that might encourage more posting.
one forum I am a member of has the posting controls show up on the bottom of the window, and it is so convenient compared to the other four or five I visit. Again, don't know if it is easily code-able, but it really makes a huge difference in posting.
Another thing I also noticed is... why is it that in this subforum the posting controls/options automatically show up on top of the window?
When I visit to post on the project subforum, I have to hit a button on the bottom to see these controls which is an added step to take before posting,
seems strange particularly in a sub-forum where you are apt to see lots of pictures.
anyway, just my two cents, ideas that could maybe encourage more forum posting by making it a little easier on the members.

I think a pickups discussion subforum would also generate more discussion.
We've got guitar make subforums, amps, pedals, etc.... and pickups could use one, especially for quick reference to see whats up with folk's pups reviews. It would be nice to have many pickups reviews in one reference-able place.

True, the like and quote controls should be at the bottom of a post. It's a little odd the way it is

If only it were that easy.
You kind of answered the question yourself, one forum out of how many has this?
In order to do that, we'd have to re-do the whole forum theme - again, and only if it's actually a viable option in the PHPBB framework,
The forum software dictates the locations of much of this stuff, so I'm afraid for this one, it's one hell of a lot of work, if it's even possible within the current framework.

I've always thought that having the Active Topics as the main page rather than the forum index could generate more activity. I set my bookmark to take me there by default.

Well, I like it so much I figured I'd ask. claiming no knowledge about software development, so thanks for setting me right1

If this was an easy one I think it would be worth doing.

Can you add a "Pickups" sub-forum to the "Guitar Talk" forum?
