Mickey, did you ever find good drop-in replacement tuners for the Whinos? I was going through my parts and half-remembered that I tried to replace tuners (to go from chrome to gold) and they wouldn't fit, so I left them alone and replaced just the actual turning knobs that are visible. I don't think the stock tuners are the most stable, especially when using the bigsby.

Can't at this point tell you what model, but they are Grovers.
Grovers were factory installed. So most any Grover tuners should fit.

GFS now has some lower output Filtertron sized Filtertrons but they are still not in the 4ohm range.
